By default, the Carsifi adapter uses built-in WIFI to make the connection between the Carsifi adapter and your phone. But using the companion app you can change it on 3rd party WIFI network(router in your car) or Hotspot on your phone.
1. Install companion app from Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.carsifi.adapter
2. Open it and click WIFI Gateway
3. You will have 3 options:
- Carsifi WIFI - built-in WIFI that is used by default.
- Phone Hotspot - hotspot on your phone
- Other WIFI - any WIFI networks
4. Select an option and follow instructions.
